How can a static object get dynamic ?

Valka is a shelving concept with folding doors made of formfleece. Accessible from both sides, the shelf makes a good impression in the room and makes use of the sound absorbing properties of the formfleece.

Valka does not require complex built-in components to function. The guide rods of the doors are interchangeable and are only inserted into preformed slots. The locking mechanism for the rods is created from the mould. The elevation in the middle is both handle and hinge. The tension force of the fleece allows the doors to snap back quickly and gives the static object dynamic.
